• PDATM works closely with various trade bodies and companies to conceptualise and organise industry-specific trade missions, B2B meetings and road shows. We undertake activities such as delegate promotion, B2B matchmaking, venue coordination, marketing, travel & accommodation and so on.

    PDATM has worked closely with the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) to organise their 'Timber Missions' to India. Under this project, a 10-member delegation from MTC visited Kolkata and Bangalore in May 2013, to seek a widening of trade opportunities with Indian buyers of wood.

    It was headed by MTC’s Director for Timber Industries Development, Dr Wong Tuck Meng, a former forester and researcher.

    More than 70 representatives of various wood manufacturing units and trading houses from North and South India turned up at the seminar and business-to-business meetings in Kolkata and Bangalore respectively. Also, PDATM arranged factory tours for the delegation in Kolkata and Bangalore, to study the market potential and manufacturing processes.
